Abstract

The invention discloses a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image speckle suppression method by combining direction aggregation. By the method, the problem that detail information in the prior art may be lost. A speckle suppression process is that: (1) extracting an edge sketch, consisting of line segments, of an SAR image to describe strange information of the image by using a sparse encoding method in a Primal Sketch sparse representation model; (2) according to the edge sketch, dividing the SAR image into a uniform region and a non-uniform region; (3) processing the non-uniform region by the SAR image speckle suppression method by combining image structure direction information and aggregation; (4) processing the uniform region by a Lee filtering method in which the window is 5*5; and (5)combining the processed non-uniform region and the processed uniform region and obtaining a speckle suppression result of the SAR image. By the method, a good speckle suppression effect of the SAR image is achieved; furthermore, the detail information of the image is kept effectively; and the method is used for SAR image speckle suppression.
