Abstract

The invention relates to a reinforced-clay seepage prevention structure and a construction method thereof. The invention aims to solve the technical problems on clay blanket crack resistance on the parts with bigger basic condition difference and improvement of the operation reliability and seepage prevention effect of clay blankets. In a technical scheme for solving the problems, the structure comprises a transition material layer, an inverted filter material layer, a clay blanket layer and a rock ballast protection layer, wherein the four layers are arranged above a flat reservoir bottom and are laid from bottom to top in sequence; and a plurality of geogrid layers are laid in the area in which uneven settlement is easy to occur and influenced areas of the area between the filter material layer and the rock ballast protection layer. The construction method comprises the following steps: a. excavating, backfilling and flattening the reservoir bottom; b. laminating and backfilling transition materials and filter materials layer by layer in sequence; c. laying a geogrid layer; d. laminating and filling clay layer by layer and laying a geogrid layer every 1-2 clay layers until the thickness reaches the designed layer thickness; and e. backfilling the rock ballast protection layer. The structure and the construction method are mainly used for reservoir bottom seepage prevention in the hydraulic and hydroelectric engineering.
