The discrete coil is arranged along a drive rod sleeve of the nuclear reactor control rod, output of adjacent two detection coils of the discrete coil are taken as input of a comparer, comparers are divided into five groups, and the gray code encoder converts an output signal of each group of comparers into a five-bit gray signal.
