The server comprises: an interface unit, which is configured to connect with at least one terminal equipment; a memory cell, which is configured to store many kinds of virtual desktop protocols; a processing unit, which is configured to establish a virtual machine or a session for the at least one terminal equipment so as to provide a virtual desktop service for the at least one terminal equipment. Based on information related to a type of the at least one terminal equipment, a first virtual desktop protocol matched with the at least one terminal equipment is selected from many kinds of the virtual desktop protocols. And based on the first virtual desktop protocol, data generated by the session or the virtual machine aiming at the at least one terminal equipment is processed so as to generate a first virtual desktop data.
