Abstract

The invention discloses a composition of an edible packaging film. The composition is characterized by being a film made from the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 8-12 percent of glucomannan, 8-12 percent of glycerol, 0.08-0.12 percent of calcium hydroxide, 360-400 parts of deionized water and 0.5-1 part of starch. The composition is prepared by the following steps of: mixing the glucomannan, the glycerol, the starch and the calcium hydroxide and compounding; adding water for preparing into a viscous fluid; and preparing into a film of 10 mum with a wet molding method. The composition is mainly prepared from polysaccharides, is nontoxic, is free from side effects, is edible, does not influence mouthfeel, and has an excellent preservation effect. A prepared film has the advantages of high strength, heat sealing property, high waterproofness and high moisture resistance.
