In an engineered barrier system for deep geological disposal of high level radioactive waste, a buffer backfill material is adopted as the most important encapsulation facility for preventing radionuclide from migration to a groundwater environment. The present invention relates to a measurement apparatus for swelling force change of a buffer backfill material along with water absorption change, and a measurement method thereof.
