The invention further discloses a device for industrial control by the aid of sag monitoring. The temperature field model of the power transmission line is built according to the parameters affecting the temperature field of the power transmission line. Equipment does not need to be additionally mounted on the power transmission line when the temperature values of the power transmission line are computed. The sag values of the power transmission line can be further computed and the industrial control can be carried out according to the computed temperature values. The total power transmission line can be monitored and controlled when the sag monitoring and the industrial control are carried out due to the fact that cost for mounting the monitoring equipment on the power transmission line is saved.
