[0023] In the DDS scheme presented here, a less-host quasi-democratic sharing scheme is introduced. In this scheme, arbitration is employed to ensure that only one or preferably two slaves share their information with all other slaves. The first slave to share its stress information is the slave with the highest stress. In a preferred embodiment, the slave with the least stress will also share its stress information. Knowing the maximum pressure, the slave machines can adjust their own pressure upwards towards the maximum pressure. If the lowest pressure is also available, the slaves can calculate an average pressure value (defined as the mean between the highest and lowest pressure) and adjust their pressure towards said average pressure value. Abstract

The invention discloses a PWM controller for controlling a phase in a multiphase environment. The PWM controller includes a control circuit for generating a control signal for a switch circuit to provide an output voltage, the control circuit providing the control signal so that the switch circuit runs with a voltage level, and a communication circuit configured to receive maximum and minimum voltage values, wherein the control circuit is adapted to adjust the voltage level towards an average value of the maximum and minimum voltage values.
