The invention provides a RFID (radio frequency identification device)-based traffic violation lane-changing detection system, which comprises at least one electronic tag for storing vehicle identification information, a violation information acquisition terminal and a data center, wherein the violation information acquisition terminal is used for acquiring the vehicle identification information stored in the electronic tag; if the violation information acquisition terminal acquires the same vehicle identification information in different lanes, a traffic violation lane-changing behavior is judged to happen to a vehicle; and a detection result is sent to the data center for storage. In the technical solution disclosed by the invention, a non-contact automatic identification technology is adopted, and a radio-frequency signal sent from the violation information acquisition terminal identifies the information in the electronic tag automatically without manual intervention, thereby realizing automatic control of the system, and reducing labor cost in the process of investigating and treating traffic violation behaviors.
