The method comprises the following steps that a server receives the parameters to be updated of a mobile terminal sent by a manufacturer; the mobile terminal is connected with the server, and detects whether the server has parameters to be updated; when the mobile terminal detects the parameters to be updated, the mobile terminal sends the parameter update information to the server; the server finds the corresponding parameter to be updated according to the parameter update information, packs and compresses the parameters into a parameter update package, and then sends the parameter update package to the mobile terminal; the mobile terminal decompresses the parameter update package, the mobile terminal is restarted to enter a restoration mode, and the parameters of the mobile terminal are updated according to the parameters of the parameter update package under the restoration mode. The method for updating parameters has the advantages that the reliability, convenience and flow-saving effect are realized, and the practicality is higher.
