The invention discloses a method for testing a tackifying performance of a gelling agent, which comprises the steps of (a) respectively preparing gelled acid with certain concentrations; (b) preparing hydrochloric acid with a certain concentration; (c) at room temperature, respectively testing acid liquid viscosities of gelled acid different in concentration at a certain shearing speed; and (d) drawing a curve chart according to the obtained results; and analyzing the tackifying performance of the gelling agent according to the curve chart. The method for testing the tackifying performance of the gelling agent disclosed by the invention can rapidly test the tackifying performance of the gelling agent, and is high in precision of testing result, simple in testing step and greatly reduced in testing cost.
