The method comprises the following steps of: in the process of searching the shortest paths between an initial node and a final node, when determining one node belonging to the shortest paths every time, recording a previous direct connection node list of the node in the shortest paths; on the basis of previous direct connection node lists of all the nodes belonging to the shortest paths, calculating all the shortest paths to form a candidate working route set; and selecting a candidate working route with a protection route from the candidate working route set and using the selected candidate working route as a working route. According to the invention, a plurality of candidate working routes which meet the conditions are firstly calculated in one step and then accordingly, the working and protection routes are automatically and simultaneously calculated, so that times of calculating the route and time of searching the route are reduced. According to the invention, the requirement with the protection service can be created in real time according to the requirements of users and operability and usability of network management are improved.
