Problems solved by technology

Since there may be other fiber cores in use on the fiber splicing tray, it is possible to accidentally touch other fiber cores in use during the process of removing the fiber splicing tray and replacing the optical attenuator, resulting in interruption of communication services and safety hazards. ACCIDENT
[0006] 2. Inconvenient operation, affecting work efficiency
[0007] Removing the optical fiber splicing tray and opening the tray to replace the optical attenuator requires many steps and complicated operations, often requiring the cooperation of two people, and the operator needs to be familiar with the internal structure of the optical fiber splicing tray and the connection method of the optical attenuator
Therefore, the work efficiency is not high when using traditional ODF equipment to adjust the attenuation
[0008] 3. There are not many types of attenuation values of optical attenuators used in ODF wiring equipment, and it is difficult for optical communication equipment to work at the optimal value, which affects the service life
As a result, it is difficult to make the optical communication equipment work at the optimal optical attenuation value in the process of adjusting the attenuation value, resulting in a reduction in the service life of the equipment

Abstract

The invention discloses a light attenuator which comprises a fixed flange, a first porcelain core and a second porcelain core, wherein the fixed flange is provided with a first axial through hole, the first porcelain core is capable of axially moving in the first axial through hole, the end portion of the second porcelain core is arranged in the first axial through hole and the extension direction of the second porcelain core is the same with that of the first porcelain core. Optical fiber is respectively arranged in the first porcelain core and the second porcelain core. The light attenuator further comprises a power component which is capable of remotely controlling power-on and power-off of the light attenuator. A power output end of the power component is connected with the first porcelain core and drives the first porcelain core to move toward the second porcelain core. When a light attenuating value needs to be adjusted, the power component is just remotely controlled. The light attenuator has the advantages of being easy and convenient to operate, and capable of not only improving adjustment efficiency of the light attenuating value, but also reducing workload of workers and dependence to the workers, not mistakenly touching with other fiber cores in the process of use, reducing accident rate, improving reliability and stability of a communication network, simultaneously providing various different attenuating values, meeting requirements of various light communication devices, and prolonging service life.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of communication equipment, in particular to an optical attenuator. Background technique [0002] Optical distribution equipment (ODF) is widely used in the field of optical communication. At present, domestic enterprises and communication operators basically use ODF with pigtail connectors without attenuation to realize optical wiring. In the case of excessive optical power during transmission, in order to protect optical communication equipment, ODF inner flanges are often used. The head is replaced with an optical attenuator with a certain attenuation value to meet the received optical power requirements of optical communication equipment. [0003] This traditional ODF wiring device has the following disadvantages: [0004] 1. There are potential safety hazards. [0005] With the continuous expansion of the scale of today's optical communication network, especially the power communication network, the ...
