A micro-electromechanical system (MEMS) three-axis acceleration sensor and low-power-consumption wireless communication technology are utilized to realize the effect that the mouse moves freely in a three-dimensional space. The MEMS three-axis acceleration sensor detects acceleration values of the wireless mouse in the three-dimensional space in real time, the acceleration values are sent to a wireless receiving module through the low-power-consumption wireless communication technology like Zigbee / IEEE802.15.4 or bluetooth technology, and the wireless receiving module is connected with a personal computer (PC) through a universal serial bus (USB) interface. The wireless receiving module sends the received three-axis mutually orthogonal acceleration values of the wireless mouse in the three-dimensional space to the PC through the USB interface. The PC compute momentary attitude angles (two angles) of the wireless mouse in the three-dimensional space according to the received three-axis acceleration values. The attitude angles are compared with those in the prior moment to work out the change of the momentary inclined angles of the mouse and the change is transferred to the movement of the mouse in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction so as to realize two-dimensional operation of the mouse.
