Problems solved by technology

However, due to the characteristics of the mobile communication network, it is difficult to maintain an idle connection without data transmission.
Therefore, in order to prevent the connection from being recycled by the operator or firewall, the mobile terminal needs to periodically send small data packets to the remote server to maintain the connection. However, this method requires the mobile terminal to wait for the server to return a response to determine whether the connection really exists. Receiving a response from the server will wake up the system once. When the system is woken up, the system will wake up all the software and hardware modules. These software and hardware modules do not play a role in maintaining the connection, but waste a lot of power.
[0003] For the above problems, there are generally two existing solutions: one is to implement data push at the application layer, and at the same time increase the wake-up time interval in order to save power. The problem with this method is that the wake-up time interval is longer. The real-time performance of data push cannot be guaranteed; the other is not to perform periodic wake-up, and the push data is only obtained when the user or other applications wake up the system. The problem with this method is that it is more difficult to guarantee the real-time performance of data push.

Abstract

The invention provides a method and an apparatus for receiving a message pushed by a network push server for a mobile terminal and a mobile terminal. The method comprises: establishing TCP connection between the mobile terminal and the network push server via a modem of the mobile terminal; activating the idle states of the system modules of the mobile terminal except the modem when the mobile terminal does not receive the message pushed by the network push server within predetermined time; actively disconnecting and reestablishing the TCP connection at predetermined intervals by using the modem when the system modules are in the idle states; receiving the message pushed by the network push server by using the modem via the TCP connection; and waking up the modem and transmitting the message to a receiving module of the mobile terminal by using the modem. The modem actively disconnects and reestablishes TCP connection and other system modules are not required to be waked up. Therefore, electric quantity consumption required to maintain the connection is reduced while realtimeness of data push can be guaranteed.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the technical field of mobile terminals, in particular to a method and device for receiving push messages from a network push server for mobile terminals and terminal equipment having the same. Background technique [0002] Most of the existing data push solutions for mobile device systems are based on persistent connection technologies, such as Apple iOS' APNS, Google Ardroid's C2DM, and Tencent's WeChat. Receiving a response...
