Abstract

The invention discloses a microwave dielectric ceramic La7Nb3Mo4O30 capable of being sintered at low temperature and a preparation method thereof. The chemical formula of the microwave dielectric ceramic capable of being sintered at low temperature is La7Nb3Mo4O30. The preparation method provided by the invention comprises the following steps: (1) weighing original powders of La2O3, Nb2O5 and MoO3, with the purity of over 99.9%, according to the chemical formula of La7Nb3Mo4O30; (2) mixing the raw materials in the step (1) and carrying out wet ball-milling for 12 hours by the use of distilled water used as a solvent, drying, and presintering in atmosphere at 900 DEG C for 6 hours; and (3) adding a binder into the powder prepared in the step (2) and granulating, carrying out compression moulding, and finally sintering in atmosphere at 950-980 DEG C for 4 hours. A polyvinyl alcohol solution at the mass concentration of 5% is used as the binder, and the binder accounts for 3% of the total weight of the powder. The ceramic prepared by the above method can be sintered well at 950-980 DEG C, and its dielectric constant reaches 21-22 and quality factor Qf reaches up to 86000-102000GHz. Temperature coefficient of resonance frequency is low. The ceramic has great application value in the industry.
