This invention provides a program reservation system, comprising a controlled terminal and a controlling terminal. The controlled terminal is used for providing television programs and the controlling terminal is used for remotely controlling the controlled terminal. The controlling terminal comprises a program reservation module, a real time clock module and a processing module. The program reservation module is used for acquiring and dynamically updating the television program information from the internet and establishing a reservation list for a user to set time parameters. The real time clock module is used for triggering signals when real time clock reaches the time parameters set by the user. The processing module further controls the controlled terminal according to the triggering signals. The invention also provides a program reservation method.
