Abstract

The invention discloses a field reducing circuit and method of a superconducting magnet. The field reducing circuit comprises a magnet coil including multiple series-connected superconducting coils; a low temperature switch connected with the two ends of the magnet coil in parallel; an energy unloading device connected with the two ends of the magnet coil in parallel, wherein a threshold voltage conducted by the energy unloading device is lower than the induction voltage generated by the magnet coil; and a monitoring unit for monitoring whether field reduction is already finished for the superconducting magnet. The field reducing circuit and method of the superconducting magnet, provided by the technical scheme, can rapidly and effectively finish field reduction of the superconducting magnet under the condition that no magnet coil quench is caused.
