The invention proposes a definition of the ary excess code and through adjustment of the ary excess code of pixel data of the host image, no-binary-system watermark information is embedded. During extraction of the watermark, through use of the ary excess code which contains the watermark image, the watermark can be extracted without help of an original watermark or an original host image so that an objective of blind detection is achieved. The method is simple and fast and higher in watermark embedding quantity and watermark invisibility. The double-color image blind watermarking method based on the ary excess code is suitable for using a color digital image as copyright protection of a digital watermark.
