A digital servo control system for disk drives is an "embedded" system-one in which servo control information is embedded on the same disk surface as the user data. In contrast to known embedded-servo systems in which a space-consuming series of many dibit pairs is present, the present system provides only a single dibit pair in a fractional positional error (PESF) area. Thus, the disk drive's read head encounters only a single dibit pair per sample period (or per data sector), thus saving valuable disk space that may be used for user data. Various pre-processing methods may be provided so as to pre-process the measurement derived from the single dibit pair per sample period (or data sector), so as to compensate for non-ideal characteristics of the dibit measurement. The system thus provides an accurate and robust servo control system, while sacrificing a minimum amount of valuable disk space to the servo information field.

The present invention provides for a case for transporting handguns and methods of using and manufacturing the same. A climatic cabinet and storage cabinet that includes an upper zone, a lower zone, storage positions for storing objects in one of the upper and lower zone, and at least one temperature control unit structured and arranged to maintain a temperature in the one of the upper and lower zone different from the other of the upper and lower zone. The invention is directed to a direct replacement air filtration or handler filter that is placed within an air flow channel within an air handler unit having a housing. A motor in communication with a controller and having an at least one sensor input or a timer or a transceiver and processing module. A filter media storage area is located on one end of the housing, with a pleated, folded filter media folded and compactly stored inside the filter media storage area. An exposed filter media containment area is located on an opposed end within the housing with the filter media extending therebetween. The present invention is a compound motorized lift device facilitating the uninterrupted and nearly noiseless movement of a low-profile television. The invention is comprised of a base unit, an intermediate unit, and a support unit slidably disposed in a telescoping fashion in the described order. A pair of linearly extensible slides are fastened between base and intermediate units and between intermediate and support units. The intermediate unit is extended and retracted with respect to the base unit in a linear fashion via a motor driven screw. The support unit is extended and retracted in a linear fashion via a cable-pulley arrangement that couples motion by the intermediate unit in a likewise direction to the support unit.

During operation, the computer system generates the stereoscopic images at a location corresponding to a viewing plane based on data having a discrete spatial resolution, where the stereoscopic images include image parallax. Then, the computer system scales objects depicted in the stereoscopic images so that depth acuity associated with the image parallax is increased, where the scaling is based on the spatial resolution and a viewing geometry associated with a display. For example, the viewing geometry may include a distance from an individual that views the stereoscopic images on the display and the display. Alternatively, the viewing geometry may include a focal point of the individual. Next, the computer system provides the resulting stereoscopic images to the display. In this way, the computer system may optimize the depth acuity for data having discrete sampling.

An apparatus for filling top opening refuse bags including an upright bag supporting structure and a separate hopper supportable on the upright structure for directing refuse into a refuse bag.
