Abstract

Embodiments of the invention generally relate to template matching methods for image-based detection and tracking of irregularly shaped objects. Specifically, it relates to an image processing method, the method comprising: obtaining an input image; enhancing objects in the input image; and after the input image is enhanced, using a processor to apply a low-pass filter to obtain a processed image. A computer product includes a non-transitory medium storing a set of instructions, execution of which causes a method to be performed, the method comprising: obtaining an input image; enhancing an object in the input image; and after the input image is enhanced, applying a low-pass filter to obtain a processed image.
