Abstract

A clothes dryer has a heat pump and includes a cabinet, a drum installed inside the cabinet, and a discharge duct configured to discharge air from the drum to outside the cabinet. The clothes dryer also includes: a fan configured to suck air from the drum and pump the air to the discharge duct; an evaporator configured to exchange heat with air discharged through the discharge duct; and a condenser disposed on the rear side of the drum. The clothes dryer further includes: an introduction passage member configured to guide air having passed through the condenser into the drum; and a compressor and an expansion device configured to define a heat pump along the evaporator and the condenser.
