Abstract

An embodiment of the invention discloses a voice service maintenance method in a mobile management entity (MME) pool scene. An embodiment of the invention also discloses a method and corresponding device for reporting capability information of user equipment (UE) in the MME pool scene. The voice service maintenance method comprises the following steps: when a first MME fails in an MME pool, a second MME in the MME pool receives a first tracking area update (TAU) request initiated by the UE, the first MME being an original service MME of the UE, and the second MME being a service MME after the first MME fails; and during the process of tracking area updating initiated by the first TAU request, the second MME obtains capability information of the UE from the first MME, or after finishing the process of tracking area updating initiated by the first TAU request, the second MME obtains the capability information of the UE from the UE. The capability information of the UE comprises single radio voice call continuity (SRVCC) relevant information of the UE, or circuit switched fallback (CSFB) capability information of the UE. With the method and device in the invention, the capability information of the UE can be obtained timely, and the availability of the circuit domain service of the UE and the continuity of the voice service of the UE are guaranteed.
