The invention discloses a power supply converter, a related control circuit and a related control method. The power supply converter comprises a boost type conversion circuit, a buck type conversion circuit and the control circuit, wherein the control circuit is used for setting the boost type conversion circuit to alternately work in a current switching-on mode and a current stop mode, the boost type conversion circuit is enabled to draw current from the electronic type transformer in multiple modes when the boost type conversion circuit is in the current switching-on mode, and the boost type conversion circuit is paused from drawing the current from the electronic type transformer when the boost type conversion circuit is in the current stop mode; the control circuit is also used for setting the buck type conversion circuit to supply needed output signals to a low-power light emitting device according to output signals of the boost type conversion circuit, and thus a needed illumination function can be supplied by the low-power light emitting device. In the embodiment, the current can be drawn from the electronic type transformer by the power supply converter in time in multiple working modes, thus the electronic type transformer and the low-power light emitting device can be normally matched for work, and the effect of compatibility can be realized.
