Exemplary liquid crystal cells of the present application can be manufactured simply and continuously by, for example, a roll-to-roll process. Liquid crystal cells can be realized in flexible devices and can ensure excellent contrast ratio. Such liquid crystal cells can be used in various applications, such as smart windows, window protection films, flexible displays, for displaying 3D images by means of active polarizing films or viewing angle adjustment films, etc.
