Abstract

The invention provides a method for monitoring and alarming the abnormal parallel accessing of a local area network. The method comprises the steps of sending an ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol) data package to all IP (Internet Protocol) addresses of a same network segment, if the respond exists, recording the IP addresses, if no respond exists, not recording; taking out one IP address from the recorded IP addresses, sending an ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) to a terminal according to the IP address, resolving to obtain an MAC (Media Access Control) address of the terminal, obtaining the terminal name by use of the API (Application Program Interface) of the system, matching the IP address of the terminal, the MAC address and the terminal name with user identity information set by an administrator, and identifying whether a user is a security user, if not, popping up an alert window. The invention also provides a system for monitoring and alarming the abnormal parallel accessing of the local area network. The system can flexibly respond the user and is easy to operate.
