Problems solved by technology

However, there is no specific industry standard for the artificial insemination technology of frozen semen for pigs; while the semen used in the artificial insemination technology for cattle is straw frozen semen, and this technology is now very mature and standardized, and there is a special national standard (DB37 / T306-2002)
However, the physiological differences between pigs and cattle and the differences in the shape of semen determine that the industry standard or national standard of artificial insemination technology for cattle and pigs cannot be copied, and only an original method of artificial insemination with frozen semen for pigs can be invented.

[0009] 1. Insemination time

[0010] The first insemination was carried out 8h-12h after the estrous sow had standing reflex, and then the second or third insemination was performed at intervals of 8h-12h.

[0011] 2. Number of inseminations

[0012] The number of inseminations in one estrus period is 2-3 times, no more than 3 times.

[0013] 3. Semen dosage

[0014] The dose for each insemination is 3-5 tubes, each with a dose of 0.25mL.

[0015] 4. Thaw semen

[0016] Use long tweezers to take out the thin tube from the storage tank (liquid nitrogen tank), put it directly into warm water at 38°C-40°C to thaw, take it out after it is completely melted, and wipe off the water.

[0017] 5. Insemination device preparation

[0018] Use special scissors to cut off the end without tampon, install the end with tampon on the push rod of the insemination gun, put on the plastic sleeve, and prepare 3-5 insemination guns filled with thin tube semen and the corr...

Abstract

The invention discloses an artificial insemination method by using frozen boar semen, and belongs to the field of animal breeding. The artificial insemination method comprises the steps of: unfreezing the frozen boar semen before each time of insemination, performing the first time of insemination during 8h-12h after a rutting sow has stand reflection, and performing the second or third time of insemination per 8h-12h, wherein the time of insemination in rut is not more than three times, three to fives tubes of semen are used in each time, and each tube includes 0.25mL of semen. The artificial insemination method by using frozen boar semen combines conventional pig artificial insemination technology and cattle artificial insemination technology, and originally provides a frozen semen artificial insemination method applicable to pigs; according to the artificial insemination method, an insemination part can be controlled and insemination amount can be increased, and more importantly a use ratio of a boar is greatly improved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to animal reproduction and breeding, in particular to a method for artificial insemination using frozen pig semen. Background technique [0002] Artificial insemination technology is a key technology in animal reproduction to improve the fertility of male animals. The commonly used semen in pig artificial insemination technology is liquid semen stored at room temperature. This technology is widely used in production and has a special industry standard, namely "Technical Regulations for Pig Artificial Insemination" (NY, T636-2002). However, there is no specific industry standard for the artificial insemination technology of frozen semen for pigs; while the semen used in the artificial insemination technology for cattle is straw frozen semen, and this technology is now very mature and standardized, and there is a special national standard (DB37 / T306-2002). However, the physiological differences between pigs and cattle and the dif...
