The invention discloses a method for performing interference coordination control on a cell, and equipment thereof. The method comprises the steps of: acquiring adjacent-cell interference information of a plurality of base stations, wherein the adjacent-cell interference information comprises a mark of each base station, an adjacent-cell mark of each base station, and an interference degree value of each base station by the adjacent-cell interference which corresponds with the adjacent-cell interference; performing clustering processing on the base stations which acquire the adjacent-cell interference information according to the interference degree value of each base station by the adjacent-cell interference which corresponds with the adjacent-cell interference by means of a clustering algorithm; and performing interference coordination control on obtained cluster cells. Thus the base stations with relatively high interference degrees are divided into cluster cells, and interference coordination control is performed on the obtained cluster cells, thereby ensuring resource distribution optimization in the cluster cells, improving interference coordination efficiency, reducing signaling transmission frequency and number between network elements in the system, and saving network signaling cost.
