Abstract

The invention relates to the field of electrical connectors, and especially relates to an electrical connector adopting a reed jack and an electrical connector assembly. The electrical connector adopting a reed jack comprises an insulator and a reed jack assembled in the insulator. The reed jack comprises two conductive sheets which are oppositely arranged up and down. An expansion-contraction opening structure is arranged between the inner sides of the front parts of the two conductive sheets, and the rear part of each conductive sheet is provided with an installation section used for fixedly matching the insulator. The two conductive sheets are fixedly connected by a connecting structure in back of the expansion-contraction opening. The reed jack is further provided with a neck structure which enables the front parts of the two conductive sheets and the connecting structure to synchronously swing up and down. The neck structure is disposed between the installation sections of the conductive sheets and the connecting structure, and is formed by making the two conductive sheets close to each other. Reliable contact between the two conductive sheets of the reed jack and a chip pin can be ensured.
