The invention describes an analyzing mechanism used for determining chemical oxygen demand of a liquid sample, comprising a knockout drum possessing at least one liquid supply pipe of a first reagent used for a liquid sample and used for separating chlorine from the liquid sample; a decomposition tank connected to the knockout drum through a liquid pipe; and a thermoregulation device used for regulating temperatures of a reaction mixture included in the decomposition tank, and formed by the liquid sample and at least one second reagent, and characterized in that the decomposition tank is compression resistant and can be closed.
