[0016] A gadolinium complex with high stability and high magnetocaloric effect, its chemical formula is {[Gd(azdc)(COOH)]} n , wherein azdc is 4,4'- azodicarboxylic acid divalent anion; its preparation method steps are as follows:
[0017] 1) Add 0.05 mmol H 2 Azdc and 0.10 mmol of gadolinium chloride hexahydrate were added to a mixed solvent of 2.5 ml of DMF and 1.5 ml of distilled water, and then 100 μl of concentrated nitric acid (15.2 mol L -1 ) and 100 microliters of LiOH (1.0mol·L -1 ), to obtain the mixed solution;
[0018] 2) Seal the above mixture and place it in an oven at 140 o After heating and reacting at C temperature for 72 hours, at 2.5°C·min -1 Cool down to 30 o C, the filtered crystals were washed three times with distilled water and absolute ethanol, and dried to obtain pale yellow flaky gadolinium complex crystals.
