Embodiment Construction

[0051] Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the figures, the same elements are indicated by the same reference numerals. First, a cable core for a superconducting cable as a test object, a drum around which the cable core is wound, and a cooling container accommodating the test object will be described, and a method for testing the cable core will be described below.

[0052] [cable core]

[0053] will refer to image 3 Describes the cable core. For example, the cable core 100 includes a forming member 101, a superconducting layer 102, an electrical insulating layer 103, an outer superconducting layer 104, and a protective layer 105 in order from the center.

[0054] The formed part 101 is a support member for the superconducting layer 102 and also serves as a tensile strength material of the cable core 100 . Furthermore, the shaped part 101 can be used as a diverter at abnormal times. When use...

Abstract

Provided are a cooling container and a method for testing a cable core for a superconducting cable, whereby electrical characteristics can be tested along the entire length of a cable core for a superconducting cable. A cable core (100) provided with a superconducting conductor layer (102) is accommodated in a cooling container (1) having a vacuum insulation layer (2a) on at least a portion thereof. The cooling container (1) is filled with a liquid refrigerant (2L). A cooling gas is introduced into a vapor phase (2A) in the cooling container (1), the vapor phase (2A) is placed in a pressurized state at a pressure greater than atmospheric pressure, the superconducting conductor layer (102) is electrified or charged while the superconducting conductor layer (102) is maintained in a superconducting state by the liquid refrigerant (2L), and electrical characteristics along the entire length of the cable core (100) are measured. During this measurement, the pressure of the vapor phase (2A) in the cooling container (1) and the temperature of the liquid refrigerant (2L) are measured without circulative cooling of the liquid refrigerant (2L) in the cooling container (1), and the liquid refrigerant (2L) is monitored on the basis of the measurement results as to whether the state thereof is suitable for continuation of testing.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a method for testing a cable core of a superconducting cable, and a cooling container for the testing method. The method enables the detection of electrical properties over the entire length of the cable core, which is the main element of the superconducting cable. Background technique [0002] Superconducting cables have been developed as power cables constituting power lines. A superconducting cable is generally provided with a cable core having a superconducting layer and an insulating tube filled with a coolant such as liquid nitrogen to accommodate the cable core. [0003] When checking electrical characteristics, superconducting cables need to be cooled so that the superconducting layer is in a superconducting state. Therefore, when testing the entire length of the superconducting cable, it is necessary to fill the thin insulated tube with coolant, which requires a lot of time. Therefore, Patent Document 1 prop...
