The invention discloses an REBCO strip quench propagation testing method and
system, and relates to the technical field of
superconducting material testing. According to the REBCO strip quench propagation test method, the propagation characteristic and the
recovery process of a quench event are analyzed by gradually applying current and monitoring
voltage and temperature data. And after quench occurs, the
system records and reduces the current in real time, and analyzes the
recovery capability of the strip. According to the method, the quench propagation index and the
recovery capability index are combined, corresponding safety test measures are executed according to different test stages, and the quench event of the REBCO strip is comprehensively and dynamically analyzed by introducing the quench propagation index. In the prior art, only
voltage and temperature data are recorded when a
quenching event occurs, and the propagation speed and range of
quenching in a strip are not considered. By combining factors such as real-time
voltage, temperature data and current change, the propagation index can quantify the propagation process of
quenching from one point to other points, and the limitation of a traditional method is overcome.
