According to the method, the cross-correlation function with a certain height is obtained, the distance sidelobe of a correlation function is obtained through co-suppression of the cross-correlation function and a self-correlation function, echoes of different LFM pulses are acquired, time delay between the LFM pulse echoes is removed, the echoes of all the LFM pulses are superimposed, and matched filtering, beam forming and intensity extraction are conducted on the superimposed echoes to obtain the image of a target. By the adoption of the method, the distance sidelobe of a composite signal can be effectively reduced.
