Abstract

The invention belongs to the field of array signal processing, relates to an out-of-grid target direction of arrival (DOA) estimation method based on an amended dictionary, and is used for overcoming a problem of performance reduction caused by dictionary mismatching in a DOA estimation method based on sparse reconstruction. The method provided by the invention comprises the steps of firstly carrying out grid division on an angle of a space region so as to acquire an initial dictionary, amending the initial dictionary, and constructing a preliminary sparse representation model by using the amended dictionary; solving the preliminarily constructed sparse representation model by using an SOMP (Simultaneous Orthogonal Matching Pursuit) method, acquiring a preliminary incoming wave estimation direction, then carrying out grid division again near the preliminary incoming wave estimation direction, acquiring a new dictionary and a new sparse representation model, solving the updated sparse representation model by using the SOMP method again, and acquiring a new signal incoming wave estimation direction; and finally searching a spectral peak in a designated area of each signal incoming wave estimation direction by using a MUSIC method so as to acquire the ultimately estimated signal incoming wave direction. Compared with an existing Taylor expansion based method, the method provided by the invention improves the estimation precision for the incoming wave direction.
