Benefits of technology

In this new way of producing dried land crops that have better nutrients absorption than regular green tubers by creating rows separated into smaller spaces instead of continuous ones like traditional methods. By doing these improvements, it becomes possible to produce higher crop productivity without damaging or killing plants while also reducing environmental impact caused by excessive drought conditions.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical problem addressed in this patents relates to improving crop yield during drought conditions or poor quality agriculture practices while also optimizing fertility through intervention techniques such as mulched seedling systems that increase vegetable productivity without reducing their nutritional value.

Embodiment 1

[0022] The altitude is about 2000m, the annual rainfall is 300-400mm, and it is a dry and semi-arid land.

[0023] Location:

[0024] The land suitable for planting potatoes should have loose soil, good permeability, rich organic matter content, and flat terrain. Potatoes should not be cropped continuously. Generally, land with medium or higher fertility with better water and fertilizer retention conditions should be selected. Bean, wheat, and corn crops should be used for the previous crop.

[0025] Site preparation:

[0026] After the previous crops are harvested, deep plow and stubble shall be removed in time. The plowing depth shall be 25-30cm, and the depth shall be the same. The layer is soft and loose, creating good soil conditions for ridge mulching. In areas where conditions permit, rotary tillers can be used for rotary tillage, combined with soil preparation for soil disinfection.

[0027] Fertilization:

[0028] Applying sufficient base fertilizer plays a...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for planting potatoes in dry land in an all-film mulching ridging micro-furrow mode. The method includes the following steps of (1) land selection, (2) soil preparation, (3) fertilizer application, (4) ridging, (5) mulching, (6) seed preparation, (7) sowing, (8) field management, (9) disease insect and weed damage prevention, (10) harvesting and (11) waste film removing. The method has the advantages that (1) the number of rain collecting faces is increased, and the rainfall infiltration rate is increased; (2) soil moisture content on ridges and soil temperature are remarkably increased, and nutritional growth of the potatoes is promoted; (3) the soil moisture content on the ridges in rainy seasons is reduced, high-temperature high-humidity stress is relieved, and disease risks are reduced; (4) the potatoes are planted on the tops of the ridges, soil is loose, and tuber development is promoted; (5) mechanical topdressing is facilitated, and fertilizer can be directly applied to the micro ridges; (6) black mulching film is adopted to cover the whole land, and weed in the field is removed; (7) the rainfall utilization efficiency is remarkably improved, and the potato tuber yield is remarkably increased. The method has wide application prospects for potato planting in dry northwest areas.
