Abstract

The invention discloses a method for controlling yellow and caducous leaves during growing seasons of flowering almond. The method includes: 1) selecting strong and healthy flowering almond seedlings without pests; 2) selecting loose, fertile, and well-drained sandy soil, and planting the flowering almond seedlings in a sloping field; 3) transplanting the flowering almond seedlings in autumn; 4) preparing soil and digging caves one to two seasons in advance; 5) applying decomposed organic fertilizers to the caves when planting the flowering almond seedlings, and soaking roots of bare-rooted seedlings in a rooting powder solution or irrigating the roots with the rooting powder solution; 6) irrigating the flowering almond with water for sprouting once in a sprouting period at the beginning of March per year, and top-dressing the flowering almond after flowers fall; 7) spraying lime sulphur in spring; 8) alternatively spraying Bordeaux mixture liquid and carbendazim or spraying chlorothalonil liquid, when a leaf spot disease appears; and 9) spraying pepper water or nicotine matrine emulsifiable concentrate when aphids or red spiders appear.
