The method comprises: establishing a mathematic model by taking a minimum grid-connection power target value offset variance as an optimization target, and on the basis of the established mathematic model, establishing a capacity planning model by taking minimum operation and construction costs of an energy storage power station as targets; and performing solution computation on a capacity optimization target function corresponding to a capacity planning model of a mixed energy storage power station, and determining an optimal capacity value of the mixed energy storage power station. According to the method, the mathematic model is established by taking the minimum grid-connection power target value offset variance as the optimization target, wherein the target value is defined as a stepped curve, so that periodic constant power output of wind power is realized and the dispatchability is improved; and at the same time, the power offset variance in the model is minimal, so that the sum of stored and released energy of an energy storage system can be reduced and the energy storage capacity demand is lowered.
