The method comprises the steps of: firstly analyzing coal layer characteristics through forward modeling, and providing basis for positioning of practical resource coal layers; then utilizing generalized S conversion time varying wavelet spectral simulation to improve the resolution of a target layer; then utilizing a layer position control multi-channel dynamic matching tracking method for carrying out highly-shielded stripping, and protruding weak signals; and finally utilizing a crack detection method, absorption attenuation analysis and wave impedance inversion to carry out contrast analysis, and obtaining a storage layer prediction result. The earthquake prediction and description method can well solve the problems that cracks are difficult to identify, the fracture-vug type storage layer is high in transverse heterogeneity, and the storage layer is low in porosity and low in permeability; in addition, the storage layer prediction precision is improved.
