Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a method and system for database query. According to embodiments of the present invention, a query block can be cached rather than only query results are cached. For example, a work file for storing a query block result set can be maintained for a certain period of time after related queries are completed. In the subsequent use, once a query for the query block is received, the query can be quickly processed by directly reusing the result set. In the manner, the data overhead of query processing can be significantly reduced, and response time of query processing can be shortened. The present disclosure describes a corresponding method and system.
