Abstract

The invention provides an auxiliary browsing method. The method is applied to an electronic device installed with a touch screen. The method comprises a judgment step, a setting step and a creating step, wherein in the judgment step, when a user browses a document on the touch screen and presses the touch screen down, whether a press-down position is a suspended window or not is judged and whether a pressure value of pressing the touch screen down is greater than or equal to a first pressure value is judged; in the setting step, when the press-down position is not the suspended window and the pressure value of pressing the touch screen down is greater than or equal to the first pressure value, a shortcut setting interface of the suspended window is displayed on the touch screen and used for the user to set the attributes of the suspended window; and in the creating step, the suspended window is created on the touch screen according to the attributes of the set suspended window, and the document being browsed by the user or other documents selected by the user are displayed in the created suspended window. The invention furthermore provides an auxiliary browsing system. By utilizing the auxiliary browsing method and system, the user can quickly refer to a context and multiple documents during document browsing.
