Abstract

The inhibitor is modified phosphate, and the main component of the modified phosphate is ethylenediamine tetra methylenephosphonic acid pentasodium or ethylenediamine tetra methylenephosphonic acid pentapotassium. The using method comprises the following steps: when bauxite ore is directly floated, the granulometric property of a bauxite ore grinding product with the alumina-silica ratio being 3-5 is that the 0.074mm granulometric class accounts for 80-90 percnet, and the pH value of a floatation system is controlled by 9-11; sodium oleate is used as a collecting agent, and the dosage of the sodium oleate is 500-1200g / t. The dosage of the inhibitor is 60-70g / t. The novel inhibitor is applied to a process for bauxite ore silicon removal by direct flotation, can enhance the selective inhibition for silicon containing minerals, meanwhile enhances the elimination capacity for unavoidable ions (Ca2+, mg2+ and so on), and improves the effect of bauxite ore direct flotation.
