The invention relates to a water level measuring method as well as a device and a container, the water level measuring method comprises the steps of acquiring a target light refraction position, wherein the target light refraction position is the position where the refracted light is on a pre-set horizontal plane after probe laser is refracted from a first medium to a second medium according to a target incident angle, one of the first medium and the second medium is air, and the other medium is liquid to be measured; determining the target water level difference of the liquid to be measured according to known light refraction position, target light refraction position, the target incident angle and an target refraction angle, the known light refraction position is the position where the refracted light is on the pre-set horizontal plane after the probe laser is refracted from the first medium to the second medium under the known water level according to a target incident angle, and the target refraction angle is the refracted refraction angle. The water level measuring method as well as the device and the container can determine the target water level difference by means of the relationships among the target light refraction position, the known light refraction position, the target incident angle and the target refraction angle, realize the measurement of the water level difference of the liquid to be measured, the measuring method is easy, and the efficiency is high.
