Abstract

The invention provides a refrigerator and a control method thereof. The refrigerator comprises a refrigerator body which comprises a shell, an inner container assembly and a foaming layer arranged between the shell and the inner container assembly in a filling manner, wherein a temperature changing chamber and a freezing chamber are defined by the inner container assembly. The refrigerator further comprises at least one first liquid storage device, a second liquid storage device and a pumping device, wherein the first liquid storage device is arranged in the temperature changing chamber and used for containing cold accumulation liquid injected into the first liquid storage device in a controlled manner; the second liquid storage device is arranged in the freezing chamber or the foaming layer and is in heat contact with the chamber wall of the freezing chamber, and therefore the cold accumulation liquid inside the second liquid storage device absorbs cooling capacity from the freezing chamber; and the pumping device is arranged to pump the cold accumulation liquid inside the second liquid storage device to each first liquid storage device in a controlled manner and pump the cooling capacity in each first liquid storage device into the second liquid storage device. According to the refrigerator and the control method, when the cold capacity of the cold accumulation liquid needs to be used for conducting refrigeration on the temperature changing chamber, the cold accumulation liquid is pumped from the second liquid storage device to the first liquid storage device through the pumping device to release the cold capacity, and control is quiet flexible.
