Abstract

The method comprises the steps of: cleaning and drying the basin-type insulator, placing the basin-type insulator in a sealed cavity body, and connecting upper and lower parts of the basin-type insulator with two electrodes; vacuumizing the sealed cavity body by utilizing a vacuum pump, and filling the cavity body with low-pressure SF6 gas; and adjusting power-frequency voltage amplitude applied on the electrodes so as to produce glow discharge of the SF6 gas, utilizing a current meter for recording a current value of a loop, and utilizing plasma generated by the glow discharge for carrying out fluorination processing on the surface of the basin-type insulator for a period of time. The device and the method adopt the SF6 glow discharge plasma for carrying out fluorination processing on the surface of the basin-type insulator, the discharging current is small, the voltage amplitude is low, the basin-type insulator cannot be damaged, and the surface flashover voltage of the basin-type insulator can be greatly increased in a short time; and the device and the method have the advantages of being simple in operation, safe and efficient, low in cost and the like.
