Abstract

Permanent magnet rings externally surrounding a pipeline are used to form a static magnetic field B0 along a flowing direction of the fluid, and two groups of multi-turn loops are used for leading in a transient bipolar electric current. Ultrasonic vibration signals are stimulated in the oil-water two-phase flow and detected through a plurality of ultrasonic probes surrounding the outer wall of the pipeline. Since the conductivity of oil is different from that of water, in virtue of a mathematical physical equation, the ultrasonic signals are used to rebuild a computational formula of an oil-water interface image.
