Problems solved by technology

[0007] Refining blades with their corresponding surface structure, i.e. rods, are generally very expensive and finely constructed, and the debris present in the pulp therefore constitutes a hazard in the technical field, possibly causing serious damage to the refiner and thus to the refining process. The hazards of costly and lengthy downtime

[0024] Throughout the drawings, the same reference numerals are used for similar or corresponding components.

[0025] In the following we will describe the technology mainly with reference to the processing of fibrous materials such as pulp. Cellulosic materials include lignocellulosic materials and various fibers comprising biomass. A specific type of lignocellulosic material is pulp. Pulp is usually obtained by chemically or mechanically separating cellulose fibers from wood, fiber crops or waste paper. Other types of fibers comprising materials that can be processed by current refiners include materials such as tobacco, cotton, and other biomass such as meat.

[0026] Since the operation of known refiners is similar to the use of the refiner according to the invention, a detailed description of the former will be given first. exist figure 1 , there is shown a schematic cross-section of a refiner 1 with conical refining blades. The refining blades are enclosed in a fra...

Abstract

A refiner comprising relatively rotatable inner conical refining blades (2) and outer conical refining blades (3). The refining blades (2, 3) are arranged coaxially about the axis of symmetry (6) and are respectively provided with a first rod (200) and a second rod (300) for grinding the fibrous material. The inner conical refining blade (2) or any first rod (200) of the inner conical refining blade (2) is larger than the outer conical refining blade (3) or the outer conical refining blade (3). Any second rod (300) extends further along the axis of symmetry (6) in the taper direction of the inner conical refining vane (2) and the outer conical refining vane (3).

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates generally to refiners and, more particularly, to refiners provided with conical refining blades. Background technique [0002] Refiners can be used to mechanically process fibers comprising materials such as biomass. Refiners come in a variety of different designs, each of which is custom-made for a specific purpose. A common feature of quite a few of these designs is that the fibrous material is fed through an inlet in the refiner, such as a feed channel, to reach a refining zone where the material is processed, ie ground by means of refining blades. These refining blades also have different designs and respective different geometries. The refining blades may for example be of the disc-shaped type, wherein the refining surface of the refining blades extends more or less perpendicularly to the inlet. A specific version of this design consists of two axially aligned refining blades displaced linearly along a common axis ...
