The configuration method comprises the steps of obtaining input parameters in the configuration method for the electric reactor of the hydropower station; calculating input impedance of a grid-connected point of the hydropower station according to the input parameters in the configuration method; calculating unit leading-in-phase voltage regulation cost of the hydropower station when the electric reactor is not installed according to the input parameters in the configuration method and the input impedance of the grid-connected point of the hydropower station; establishing a mathematic optimization model configured to the electric reactor of the hydropower station according to the input parameters in the configuration method and the input impedance of the grid-connected point of the hydropower station; solving the mathematic optimization model to obtain an optimized target function value and a capacity optimal solution of the electric reactor; and determining whether the unit leading-in-phase voltage regulation cost is greater than or equal to the optimized target function value or not, if so, outputting prompting information of the electric reactor with the capacity optimal solution as the installed capacity. Basis is provided for the reasonable configuration of the electric reactor of the hydropower station, thereby improving the reactive power regulation capability of the hydropower station, and realizing safe and economic operation of the power grid.
