Abstract

An application executing on a plurality of wireless communication devices (100) measures performance metrics. The application sends a report (40) of performance metrics to the server (150). Based on the reporting (40), the server determines a rate at which performance metrics are reported and sends an indication of the reporting rate (50) to applications executing on at least some of the wireless communication devices (100). Based on the indicated reporting rate, applications on the wireless communication devices control the timing of measuring performance metrics and sending reports (40) to the server (150).
