Abstract

The present invention provides a dual MPEG-4 compression detection method and system based on blocking effect measurement. The method comprises: decompressing the input video to be a frame sequence, and extracting the brightness component of each frame and the macro block coding information; performing self-adaptive deblocking filtering of the brightness component of each frame; calculating the absolute value cumulative sum of the differences of the filtered brightness component and the original brightness component, taking the absolute value cumulative sum as the blocking effect measurement of each frame, and enhancing the blocking effect measurement by employing a macro block variation abnormal mode to obtain a feature sequence; and finally, performing periodicity analysis of the feature sequence, determining whether the input video is subjected to dual MPEG-4 compression and estimating the size of the GOP which is compressed and used at the first time. The dual MPEG-4 compression detection method and system based on the blocking effect measurement can effectively employ the abnormal blocking effect periodically appeared in the dual MPEG-4 compression video to allow the detection method to have more robustness and wider application.
